The seafront is packed with exciting attractions, the busy town centre is a must for the keen shopper and the numerous restaurants, bars and clubs make going out in Skegness a memorable experience. The golden sandy beach in Skegness is the ideal place to spend a fun family holiday or perfect for a pleasant stroll. The south area of Skegness, the location of the Ivydene Hotel, is also home to the Skegness Model Village, Nine Hole Pitch and Putt, Crazy Golf and a seal sanctuary and an aquarium. So there is no shortage of things to do, right on our doorstep.
The seafront attractions in Skegness are varied and numerous. The boating lakes in the south of the resort, just a short walk from the Ivydene Hotel, offer paddle boats or rowings boats for hire and even have a pretty conservation area which is home to the famous Skegness Canada Geese. The south area of Skegness, adjacent to the Ivydene Hotel, is also home to the fairy dell paddling pool, which is the perfect seaside safe haven for the little ones to enjoy a summers day splashing around.
Bed And Breakfast in Skeg Vegas
Just around the corner from the Ivydene Hotel, on the seafront, you will find the very well kept south bowling greens, including the only crowned bowling green in Lincolnshire. The greens are perfectly located for the guests of the Ivydene Hotel, whether your taking part in one of the many national bowling competions which Skegness is proud to host, or just out enjoying a gentle game of friendly bowls on a sunny afternoon.
Skegness is known affectionately by the regular holiday makers as Skeg Vegas; not surprisingly as Skegness is abundant with arcades, prize bingo and indoor fun for everyone. Outdoors there is often something going on in the pictureque Tower Gardens. Skegness is also home to an extreme sports centre for the energetic, as well as both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Further in town you can find the Village Church Farm Museum, featuring an original 1760's farmhouse, cowsheds, threshing barn and workshops. Further North along the Skegness Seafront, still only a short walk from the Ivydene Hotel, you can find many exciting attractions. Skegness seafront has a fun go-carting track, a pleasure beach with many exciting rides, the famous skegness pier with numerous attractions within and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, with everything from crocodiles to meerkats and not surpisingly a seal or two. A must visit for the animal lover.
